Budget 2023: New deposit scheme for women launched; Limits for senior citizens raised | Details

In the budget for 2023, the Modi government has announced an investment gift for women and senior citizens. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announces a new deposit scheme for women. called Mahila Samman Bachat Patra, which will be available until March 2025. The scheme will have a tenure of 2 years and offer a fixed rate of interest of 7.5%. The deposit can be made in the name of a woman or a girl child.
