Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari explained the response protocol to China-bound Iranian aircraft amid a bomb scare onboard after it entered Indian airspace. “As per the given standard operating procedures, the response was to scramble fighters… initially two of them, from a base in Punjab. And then, thereafter, another two followed the aircraft,” said the Indian Air Force Chief. The pilot of Mahan Air flight chose to continue to fly to China’s Guangzhou after the threat later turned out to be a hoax. Watch this video for more details.
