‘Fighter jets…’: IAF chief on protocol response to bomb scare on Iranian plane

Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari explained the response protocol to China-bound Iranian aircraft amid a bomb scare onboard after it entered Indian airspace. “As per the given standard operating procedures, the response was to scramble fighters… initially two of them, from a base in Punjab. And then, thereafter, another two followed the aircraft,” said the Indian Air Force Chief.
