Modi's minister arrested: Narayan Rane held over 'slap Uddhav' jibe

- Union Minister Narayan Rane was arrested by Ratnagiri police on August 24. The minister’s “slap Uddhav” remark sparked controversy following which clashes broke out in several parts of Maharashtra. Rane, a former chief minister of Maharashtra, claimed that CM Uddhav Thackeray asked his aides about year of independence midway during his speech. Rane said, “Had I been there, I would have given him a tight slap”. Following his statement, Shiv Sena workers gathered outside Rane’s Juhu residence and shouted slogans. BJP workers and Sena workers clashed in different parts of Maharashtra. Watch the full video for more details.
