Calling it an honour for India’s farmers, livestock rearers, fish farmers, and agricultural scientists, PM Modi said the award reflects India’s unwavering commitment to human welfare and sustainable development. Highlighting India’s agriculture transformation, Modi stressed the importance of technology-driven farming, biodiversity, and reducing dependence on chemical fertilisers, saying India’s model proves that scale and sustainability can go hand in hand.
