Russia wants 'Nazi Name' for Ukraine after Zelensky sparked renaming row amid war | Details

Ex-Russian President Dmitry Medvedev wants to rename Ukraine after Nazi collaborator Stepan Bandera. His proposal came after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky told his government to consider a proposal seeking to change Russia’s name. Stepan Bandera is a controversial World War II figure who is believed to have collaborated with Adolf Hitler in the early stages of Nazi invasion of Soviet Union.
