A massive controversy is brewing in Uttar Pradesh over prominent OBC and Samajwadi Party leader Swami Prasad Maurya's comments on Ramcharitmanas. Last week, the former U.P minister had said that Ramcharitmanas promoted social discrimination and spread hatred. He added that certain verses of the epic were casteist and derogatory to the backward community and Dalits and should be removed. His remarks have left several Ayodhya seers fuming, with one even announcing a bounty of ₹21 lakh for his head. Mahant Raju Das even raised the slogan, 'Sar Tan Se Juda.' Watch this video for more.
