The rescue work to evacuate 41 workers stuck inside the collapsed Silkyara-Barkot under-construction tunnel in Uttarakhand has entered its 15th day today. However, the rescue operation has been hit since Friday when the blades of the auger machine drilling through the rubble of the tunnel broke. The Indian Army is set to join the rescue operations to cut out the pieces of the stuck auger. The Indian Air Force too flew critical DRDO equipment to Dehradun for the rescue work.
