The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Singh Badal said the party will not join hands with BJP after the three contentious farm laws were repealed. “…700 farmers lost their lives. We tried to convince the Prime Minister in Parliament that the black laws which you enacted are not acceptable to the farmers. Whatever we said, that turned out to be true,” Badal said. PM Modi on Friday morning announced that Centre will repeal the farm laws. SAD leader and former union minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal resigned from her office after Modi govt passed the three farm laws. SAD later broke ties with the NDA.
