Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah hit back at Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif over his remarks on the abrogation of Article 370, saying the issue is an internal matter of India and has nothing to do with Pakistan. Abdullah said Jammu and Kashmir has its own concerns regarding August 5, but asserted that Pakistan should stop interfering in India's internal affairs. He also accused Pakistan of committing human rights violations in the territory under its control and urged its leadership to focus on improving the situation there. Abdullah's remarks came in response to Sharif's comments on the changes made to Jammu and Kashmir following the abrogation of Article 370. The issue continues to remain a point of sharp disagreement between India and Pakistan, with political leaders on both sides frequently exchanging statements over Jammu and Kashmir.
