US President Donald Trump dramatically shortened his Russia–Ukraine ceasefire ultimatum, giving Moscow just 10 days to reach a peace agreement—or face sweeping new US sanctions and tariffs. The Kremlin’s response? Minimal. Russian spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said Moscow had “taken note” of Trump's remarks. Trump and Peskov's subsequent remarks came as Russia intensified its assault on Ukraine. Over 15 people were killed in Ukraine in attacks on a prison, a hospital and a military unit, meanwhile, Russian army also claimed to capture more regions in Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia.
