India won their second gold medal of the 2018 Commonwealth Games (CWG 2018) thanks to Sanjita Chanu Khumukcham in the 53 kg category of women's weightlifting. The 24-year-old registered a total of 192 kg, which included a lift of 84 kg, 10 kg ahead of Papua New Guinea's Loa Dika Toua to win her second gold medal in Commonwealth Games, after winning in the 48kg category four years ago in Glasgow. However, Sanjita said she was sad she missed her last two attempts as she “couldn't get the correct push” to make a successful lift (video credit: SNTV).
