The UK restricts Chinese cameras in government buildings over security fears. The Rishi Sunak government told all British departments to stop installing Chinese-linked surveillance cameras at sensitive buildings, citing security risks. Officials have also been told to remove existing equipment entirely. The majority of British public bodies use surveillance cameras made by Hikvision or Dahua, according to privacy advocacy group Big Brother Watch. Both Hikvision and Dahua are partly state-owned Chinese companies.
