Sonam Wangchuk Drops 24-Hour Ultimatum Video, Threatens Hunger Strike Amid Delhi Detentions

Sonam Wangchuk has described the situation in India as an “undeclared emergency” following reports of arrests ahead of a planned protest in Delhi. In a statement, the leader said they had appealed for unity and peace before the demonstration and expressed concern after learning that several leaders associated with the movement had been arrested. Calling for their early release, the leader warned of considering an Anshan or a Padyatra if those detained were not released by the following day.
