Taiwan expands intel ops to keep tab on Chinese military as invasion fear looms

Amid threats from belligerent China, Taiwan is expanding Joint Intelligence Operations Center. Intel staff will gather info on Chinese military movements, weapons acquisition, drills & military research. The intelligence gathered will reportedly be used to brief army, navy, and air force officers every 6 months. Ramping up intel capabilities crucial for Taiwan, Ukraine been relying on intel to combat Russian aggression. Beijing been sending large sorties into Taiwan's Defence Zone, keeping Taipei's ageing fighter fleet stressed. So far in 2022, Taiwan has reported 460+ incursions, around a 50% increase from the same period last year.
