PM Modi, SRK react to India women's hockey team's performance in Olympics

• India women's hockey team missed out on the Bronze medal, finishing fourth in the Tokyo Olympics. Coach Sjoerd Marijne's Team India went down to Rio Olympics gold medalist Great Britain. PM Modi encouraged the team after the girls lost following a valiant fight in the medal match. The Indian women's hockey team scored three quick goals to take the lead in the match. Great Britain, however, bounced back in the fourth quarter and won the match 4-3. Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik also congratulated the team for putting up a brave fight. A disappointed Shah Rukh Khan tweeted minutes after the bronze medal match concluded. Notably, this is India's best-ever showing at the Olympic Games yet. Before this, India featured only twice in the women's hockey event at the multi-sports programme.
