US-Ukraine pact with a twist? After big showdown, Trump secures critical rare earths from Zelensky

US and Ukraine signed the much-awaited minerals deal on April 30, giving Washington access to Kyiv's rare earths minerals. In exchange, a joint investment fund will be set up to contribute to Ukraine's reconstruction. However, there was a catch to the agreements terms.
