The Head of the United Nations met Xi Jinping and the Chinese Foreign Minister on the sidelines of the Winter Olympics. The U.N. Chief told Chinese leaders that he expects them to allow U.N. Human Rights Chief to make a 'credible' visit. Unsurprisingly, a readout of the meeting from the Chinese state news agency made no mention of the issue. The U.N. Human Rights Chief has repeatedly sought access, China accused of forced labour, torture in Xinjiang. Reports suggest china has been forcibly mass sterilising Uyghur women. France, Canada, UK, Australia & Netherlands have accused China of committing genocide.
