'Who allowed use of pellet guns, AK-47 on students?': Priyanka calls Pradhan's garlanding ‘shameful’

Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra launched a sharp attack on the Centre during the Lok Sabha debate on the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Amendment Bill, 2026, questioning the alleged use of force against students protesting over examination irregularities. She demanded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah explain who authorised the use of pellet guns during the protests. Priyanka Gandhi also criticised the alleged use of tear gas, lathi-charge and water cannons, accusing the government of suppressing the voices of young people and calling for accountability over the police action.
