Why US wants to renew ties with Pak under Sharif; Eye on Putin & Xi’s manoeuvres

Revival of diplomatic-military ties between U.S. & Pak a dampener to Russian efforts to cultivate Islamabad. In first contact since Sharif became PM, the U.S. Secretary of State & Pak FM recently held a phone conversation. Moscow attempted to bring Pak into the Russian sphere of influence during the ousted Imran Khan regime. Former PM Imran Khan Niazi soured the U.S.-Pakistan bilateral ties by siding with Russia and China. Blinken called for broad-based ties with Pak & invited Bhutto Zardari to the U.N. food security meet on 18th. Pentagon has reportedly reopened channels of communication with Rawalpindi GHQ & Pak Army Chief.
