Britain’s Prince Philip to retire from public engagement

The Prince has almost never been absent from his position alongside his wife in almost seventy years of marriage, a marriage which has been admired for its strength and longevity. But Buckingham palace has recently announced that Queen Elizabeth's husband will stop carrying out public engagements. A palace statement says the 95-year-old Prince Philip will keep up his public schedule until August. He will continue his role with numerous charitable organizations. The announcement comes after Buckingham Palace called a meeting of Queen Elizabeth's household staff. While Queen Elizabeth,91, as per Buckingham palace, will keep up her full schedule of public engagements.
