Caracas under siege: Federal Legislative palace hit, ports and airbases crippled in US strikes

Multiple explosions rocked Venezuela in overnight U.S. strikes on January 3, targeting key political, military, and infrastructure sites, according to Colombian President Gustavo Petro. Federal Legislative Palace, major military bases, airfields, ports, and communications facilities came under attack. La Guaira Port and Fuerte Tiuna were also among the most significant locations hit. Parts of Caracas, including Santa Mónica and areas near Fort Tiuna, plunged into darkness following the attacks.
