A Russian lawmaker on June 23 hinted at Moscow reducing decision time for use of nuclear weapons. Andrei Kartapolov claimed that changes in nuclear doctrine depend on perceived threats. However, Kartapolov said it was too early to speak about changes to nuclear doctrine. Russian President Vladimir Putin also made a similar assertion last week. Watch for more.
