Donald Trump hints at blocking Netflix’s $72 Billion Warner Bros. mega‑merger

Donald Trump used his high-profile appearance at the Kennedy Center Honors to cast doubt over Netflix’s blockbuster 72 billion dollar bid for Warner Bros., hinting he may personally move to rein in the mega-merger on antitrust grounds and sending shockwaves through Hollywood and rival streamers alike. While acknowledging Netflix’s success and confirming recent talks with co-CEO Ted Sarandos, Trump warned that the combined company’s “very large” market share “could be a problem” and vowed to be “involved in that decision,” reviving memories of his earlier opposition to the AT&T–Time Warner tie-up and raising fears in the industry that the deal could be slowed, reshaped, or even blocked.
