Drugs worth $29 million got seized by Thai authorities

Thai authorities have seized drugs worth about 29 million US dollars. 11 people were arrested in connection with narcotics cases in the country. The drugs included amphetamine pills, marijuana, ketamine and ice. The total was estimated to be worth 890 million baht (29 million US dollars). Thai police have dealt with more than 1,000 drug cases since October. The 11 recent arrests include a Malaysian and a Tanzanian. The most recent arrest was on 2nd April when officers arrested a Thai woman. She was returning from Ethiopia with 50 containers of cocaine concealed inside her body.
