Russia has issued a warning to the West if frozen Russian assets are utilised. Russian foreign ministry spokeswoman, Maria Zakharova, said Moscow's response will be "extremely tough” and accused the West of 'theft'. Russia also said that it will seize EU & U.S. assets in response to the seizure of its property. This after the EU enacted a law to reserve profits from frozen Russian central bank assets. The EU estimates that around €15 billion profits could be used for Ukraine's reconstruction.
