French Singer Izia Higelin is facing heat over her "Hang Macron" remarks at a concert in France's Beaulieu-Sur-Mer city. Higelin has walked back on her controversial comments and issued an apology. This came after the authorities opened a probe into her conduct at a recent concert. On July 6, Higelin "imagined" French President Emmanuel Macron "being hanged" during her show. The singer’s words followed a wave of unrest sparked by the killing of 17-year-old Nahel Merzouk on June 27.
