Indian Navy Rescues Iranian Vessel; INS Sumitra's 'Heroic' Mission Saves Hijacked Ship, Crew

The Indian Navy comes to the rescue of a hijacked Iranian vessel, MV Iman, in the Arabian Sea. Indian warship INS Sumitra rushed after receiving a distress call from an Iranian ship. The vessel was hijacked by Somali pirates around 700 nautical miles west of India's Kochi. 17 crew members onboard the Iranian ship were also taken hostage. However, the Indian Navy's swift action ensured the safe release of the ship and its crew.
