‘Jaishankar was clear…’: Putin’s envoy sees bilateral trade touching new high

- Russia's ambassador to India, Denis Alipov, has heaped praised on External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar for being clear about India's stand on Russian oil. He said it was natural for India to pick Russian oil over others as it is the cheapest option available. He also added that "the trade turnover between Russia and India witnessed an unprecedented growth in the first half of 2022 and reached over $11 billion, which allows the likelihood of achieving the goal of bringing the level of mutual trade to $ 30 billion by 2025."
