At least 18 people were killed after a Saurya Airlines plane crashed in Kathmandu during takeoff on 24 July. The incident comes after more than a year and a half when a passenger airplane of Yeti Airlines crashed while landing in Pokhara, killing all 46 onboard. With over 60 aviation disasters since 1946, why does Nepal suffer so many air disasters?
