Updated on Mar 29, 2018 08:23 pm IST
North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un is on a two-day surprise visit to Beijing, China to meet Chinese president Xi Jinping. This meeting is being seen as an important move by Kim, considering his impending summits with US and South Korea. China has traditionally been North Korea's closest ally but their ties were frayed due to the latter's relentless pursuit of nuclear power. But in the meeting during this visit, China has promised that the country will uphold its friendship with North Korea and Kim has pledged to denuclearise the Korean peninsula, but with certain conditions.
