PM Modi, France’s Macron bond on phone call; Discuss Sri Lanka, Ukraine War

- PM Narendra Modi spoke to France's President Emmanuel Macron on Tuesday and conveyed India’s solidarity with France in dealing with the devastating wildfires. Both leaders also agreed to cooperate closely in responding to global challenges of food and energy security. According to a statement by the Prime Minister's Office, the leaders reviewed ongoing bilateral initiatives including defence cooperation projects and cooperation in civil nuclear energy.- According to Reuters, both leaders discussed the Sri Lanka situation as Chinese spy ship, Yuan Wang 5, docks near India at Hambantota port. The French President also discussed crisis in Ukraine with PM Modi, and the two agreed to work together to try to end the conflict. Watch this video for more details.
