A hardline Islamist political party Tehreek-e-Labaik has called off its weeks long protest in Pakistan after the Law Minister Zahid Hamid resigned from his post. The party was protesting against Hamid as they had accused him of blasphemy after a change of words in his electoral oath. At least seven people were killed and over 200 were injured when the protesters clashed with the police. The protesters had blocked major entry points of Islamabad.
