US blacklists Israel's NSO group amid snooping row involving Pegasus spyware

The United States has blacklisted Israel’s NSO group, the makers of controversial Pegasus spyware. The Biden administration put the NSO group on a list of restricted companies in the US. The blacklisting of NSO group came in the wake of global row over surveillance of journalists and officials. Thousands of human rights activists, journalists, politicians & business executives were allegedly snooped using Pegasus. Smartphones infected with Pegasus are essentially turned into pocket spying devices. Pegasus can read target's messages, look through photos, track location & turn on camera without them knowing. What the blacklisting mean is that exports to the NSO group from US organisations is restricted. Watch the full video for more details.
