Wildfires still raging across California, several homes destroyed

Firefighters are still attempting to gain control of the wildfires raging across the northern part of California amid high winds and dry weather.

Brutal heat, dry conditions and erratic winds are making the tough job even tougher for the thousands of firefighters in California who are battling more than a dozen destructive wildfires across the state.

According to survivors of the deadly Carr fire near the city of Redding, the blaze was so massive that it even created its own weather system.
