The U.S. Presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy has said that he will gut H1-B visa programme if he become the President next year. Vivek told Politico that the H-1B system is bad for everyone involved and that the U.S. needs to eliminate chain-based migration. For several years, Indians have been getting the largest share of such visas with 74.1% of H-1B visas being issued to Indians by the U.S. in 2021 alone.
