Pakistani police have arrested 10 Islamic militants in its biggest city, Karachi. The militants were said to be planning terror attacks during next week's general elections. Meanwhile, Pakistani voters have succeeded in pushing back the Islamist tide and throwing out of power political clerics governing Pakistan's northwest in the upcoming elections on February 18.
