A recently suspended Toronto policeman is under investigation after he and a fellow officer recreated a Bollywood-style video by using an official vehicle.

Constable Vittorio Dominelli, a 10-year veteran, was in the news after he allegedly consumed marijuana while on duty and climbed a tree. Now, he faces another investigation for the video, the Toronto Sun reported.

The six-minute video stars Dominelli and fellow constable Haroon Ahmed Siddiqui, who pull over a woman for a traffic violation. When Siddiqui asks for her licence, she turns to him, and the video cuts to a Bollywood-style love-at-first-sight dream sequence, replete with Hindi songs.

Later, Dominelli asks why Siddiqui let her go, to which the latter replies that he has fallen in love. The final shot in the video is of Siddiqui and the woman dancing at a waterfront.

A police spokesman said the video was being investigated. “This video and every aspect of this situation will be closely scrutinised,” he was quoted by the Toronto Sun as saying.

The report also quoted defence lawyer Tyler Smith as saying that the video proves that Dominelli has a “particular pattern of having a specifically poor judgment regarding his duties and obligations”.
