Having a sad day? This gloomy-looking cat on Instagram might just cheer you up.
Luhu, 5-years-old, is easily one of the saddest looking cats on the internet and has a 142k-strong Instagram following.
Maggie Liu, Luhu’s owner says the grey American short hair tabby is actually very friendly and lives with two other cats in Beijing. Barher and Bardie, both love their brother Luhu and never fight, according to Liu.
The cat that has the internet go ‘awww’ was not born with the prominent melancholic eyes. “Luhu had eye infections when he was two weeks,” Liu told Hindustan Times. “He got operated upon which affected his vision, which is why Luhu always opens his eyes pretty hard when he needs to look at something.”
The feline, who has big eyes and droopy brows, was born in 2012. Liu, who brought Luhu home from her best friend’s house when he was 2-weeks-old, never expected her cat to reach celebrity status on social media.
