One person is critical after being shot by a Border Patrol agent in Arizona's Pima County on Tuesday. The shooting happened around 7:30 a.m. on Arivaca Road, the Santa Rita Fire Department confirmed.

The circumstances of the shooting remain unclear, per local broadcaster KVOA. The outlet confirmed citing officials that the shooting involved an agent with the Border Patrol.

The victim has been taken into custody and is currently critical.

There is a msssive presence of local law enformcement and Border Patrol agents at the scene of the shoting, per reports.
