A shooting took place near the Hunters Crossing Home Depot outlet in Bastrop, Bastrop County Texas on Wednesday afternoon. Bastrop Police Department said in an update that a suspect is in custody. No injuries have been reported.

Bastrop Police said that they responded to the incident of a man opening fire at vehicles at the parking lot of the Home Depot around 3:49pm.
"A preliminary investigation indicates an adult male was shooting an AR 15 from the back of his vehicle at multiple other vehicles. There are no other suspects," the press release said.
"The first arriving officer on scene approached the suspect and immediately was able to take him into custody without incident. There are no injuries to anyone involved, only property damage."
The release stated that it is an active investigation. No further details about the suspect were released.
The PD provided the update amid reports that an active shooter was present at the Home Depot. Residents were asked to avoid the area.

“SUSPECT is in custody. Large police presence in the area of 112 Hunters Crossing Blvd. More information to follow. Please avoid the area, if possible,” the update from Bastrop PD read.
The Hunters Crossing Home Depot is located at 112 Hunters Crossing Blvd in a commercial area off State Highway 71.
