Roblox experienced a major outage in the United States on Tuesday, leaving tens of thousands of players frustrated and unable to log in.
Downdetector.com, a fan favourite site that monitors online service disruptions, reported that the issues began pouring in late in the day. By 7:27 PM ET, reports of problems began climbing steadily before peaking at more than 107,000.
By 7:56 PM ET, the number had settled at around 3,737—but for many gamers, the damage was already done.

Downdetector, which gathers data from various sources, including user-submitted reports, noted that the real number of people affected may be even higher than what's publicly logged.
“We are aware of the issues affecting our platform and are working diligently to resolve them,” Roblox said in response to the outage.
Roblox, which has become a global gaming sensation, gives users the tools to create their own interactive “experiences”, ranging from games and social events to fully immersive virtual worlds.

Behind the scenes, the outage was reportedly triggered by a server failure that affected both gameplay and core social functions. Players were suddenly unable to access their favorite titles, connect with friends, or even reset their passwords.
