The number of people killed and missing from the 6.9 magnitude earthquake touched 113 as authorities gave up hope on finding any more survivors in Philippines.
The Philippines Civil Defence said they have lost hope on finding any survivors from the missing 61 individuals from the February 6 earthquake that devastated the central Philippines province of Negros.
The government, meanwhile, has enhanced environmental funds to forestall calamities and respond efficiently to such eventualities.
The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council Chief, Benito Ramos, was quoted by the ABS-CBN news network as saying that the toll now stood at 52 dead and 61 missing and the "he had given p all hope of finding more survivors".
