Guinness Rishi has 499 tattoos on his body, including those of Mahatma Gandhi, Queen Elizabeth and Barack Obama. He had all of his teeth removed to achieve the feat of fitting 500 straws in his mouth. He also put 58 lit candles in his mouth to set a world record. He claims to be the 3rd highest world record holder. His record of driving a scooter for 1,001 hours and across 30,965 km, which he achieved along with his friends Amarjeet Singh and Navjot Chaddha in 1990, remains unbroken to this day. The walls of his house are adorned with certificates from Limca Book of World Records and photographs of his accomplishments, but his wife says that the house looks like a dumpyard.

One look at the 74 year old and you know he is no ordinary man. “I have 25 Limca World Records and 10 Guinness World Records. A lot of my certificates from Guinness are stuck as I am not able to pay the fees for their fast track process,” says Rishi. His real name was Har Prakash Rishi, which he changed in the year 1990. Last month, he changed his name to Ripleys Guinness. “Ripley’s made me their brand ambassador in India after I visited their office in Orlando last October,” he claims.

His favourite tattoo is that of Queen Elizabeth with her crown which has the Kohinoor diamond. “ I want to request the government to bring the Kohinoor back to our country,” he says. He is not just famous for tattoos of prominent personalities, but also wants to convey the message of world peace. “I have tattooed Let Us Unite Against Terrorism on my body. I am now planning a world tour of 200 countries where I want to meet the heads of States and convey this message to them,” he adds. He has also started many online portals where people from all over the world can upload videos and photographs of their feats. Upon being asked how people react to his obsession, he says, “People, including my wife, call me various bad names, but I don’t take it to heart. My only aim is to give my country everything I have.”
