Star Jamaican athlete Usain Bolt breezed past the 100m mark in 9.81 seconds on Sunday, neither panting nor sweating, but flashing a cheeky smile to the cameras while the rest of the competitors were on the floor catching their breath.
Bolt’s Cheshire grin started trending on Twitter world and threatens to dethrone USA swimmer Michael Phelps’ angry face as Rio 2016’s favourite meme.
Phelps was caught making a grimly determined face prior to the 200m butterfly semi-final. The menacing expression became an instant online phenomenon and went viral as a meme with #PhelpsFace trending on Twitter for hours.
