The poet, writer, filmmaker and artist passed away in December 2009. The tribute will include — release of a special edition of Khel magazine, dedicated to the life and works of Chitre, screening of Godam and Arun Kolatkar, reading of English poems and translations by Adil Jassawala, Ranjit Hoskote, Jerry Pinto, Arundhati Subramanian and Abhay Sardesai, and readings in Marathi by Sanjeev Khande- kar, Hemant Divate, Mangesh Narayanrao Kale, Meenakshi Patil and Atul Dodia.
The event will take place at Prithvi Theatre on April 11. Art and poetry will take place from 10.30 am to 1.30 pm and film screenings will be held from 3 pm to 6 pm.
