Badminton association infighting does not bode well for the game in India

Shuttlers have put India on the world map but all is not well in the Badminton Association of India (BAI), the federation that is supposed to look after the interests of its top stars.

Pragati Dubey, Manisha Keer, representing Madhya Pradesh, and Shefali Rajak were barred from shooting in the final. As a result, the final had only three shooters. The fourth girl, Kirti Gupta, who was representing Delhi, was disqualified in the qualification round.

Shooting coaches keep their jobs even after Rio Olympics horror show

Most Indian shooting coaches, foreigners included, will retain their jobs even after a review committee, led by Olympic champion Abhinav Bindra, slammed the role of coaches in the tune up to Rio Olympics.
