Former state assembly additional secretary Rachna Tyagi, who was given compulsory retirement a week ago, blamed principal secretary of the assembly Bhagwandeo Israni for hatching a conspiracy against her.
Talking to media on Sunday, Rachna, however, praised speaker Sitasharan Sharma. She attacked Israni saying that he himself was involved in several irregularities. "He targeted me as I happened to be senior to him," she said.
Rachna said, "There are no specific charges mentioned in the official letter given to me for the compulsory retirement. But in the press communique, they pointed out charges regarding financial irregularities and indecent behaviour at work place against me. I can prove that I never got involved in any kind of financial irregularities. But on the other hand Lokayukta is probing charges against Israni and another additional secretary."
She said, "On the recommendation of the state assembly’s screening committee, four other employees too including Kamla Yadav, Jitendra Sanwer, Mukesh Sharma and Deepak Bisht were given compulsory retirement on completion of 50 years of age and 20 years in service. These employees were only bread-winners of their families and now suddenly they are jobless," she added.
Talking about her next step, Rachna said she would move the court and also lodge a complaint against Israni, AP Singh and Rajpal with the speaker. Replying to the allegations levelled by Rachna, principal secretary Israni said, "I have nothing to do with the decision of compulsory retirement of Rachna. She is levelling absurd and baseless charges against me. During her tenure, she was suspended twice. A departmental inquiry was held against her. Her tenure was full of controversies."

He further said, "The employees, who were given compulsory retirement along with Rachna, were not performing. Three of them used to work in a drunken state. Thus, by giving them retirement we tried to minimize the punishment against them."
