Aiyyaa

Genre: Romantic comedy

Cast: Rani Mukerji, Prithviraj Sukumaran and Amey Wagh

Director: Sachin Kundalkar

Synopsis: Meenaxi, a dreamy Maharashtrian girl with an extra sensitive sense of smell, is in search of love. Hilarity ensues when she has to juggle between her reality, her choices and being a traditional Marathi girl. After getting attracted to the fragrance of a mysterious artist, she daydreams about him. She spies on him, only to discover that he works in an incence factory. Meanwhile, her family has found a good boy for her. Complications arise, as she has to decide between an ideal husband and possibly true love.

Bhoot Returns

Genre: Horror

Cast: Manisha Koirala, Alayana Sharma and JD Chakravarthy

Director: Ram Gopal Varma

Synopsis: A sequel to the 2003 hit Bhoot, this film is about a family trapped in a terrifying supernatural situation. The movie tells the story of an engineer, who along with his wife, his son and daughter, moves into a house situated near his work place. Soon, a series of inexplicable things happen to his family and over a period of time, he is forced to accept that there are supernatural elements in the house. By the time he decides to leave with his family, one of his kids disappears, seemingly swallowed by the house.

Looper

Genre: Sci-fi adventure

Cast: Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Bruce Willis and Emily Blunt

Synopsis: In a future society, time-travel exists, but it’s only available to those with the means to pay for it. When the mob wants to eliminate someone, it sends the target into the past, where a hitman known as ‘looper’ finishes the job. As Joe Simmons, a looper, waits for his next target, he’s shocked to meet his future self, who’s been sent back in time to be killed by him, in order to close Joe’s own ‘loop’.

Chittagong

Genre: Period drama

Cast: Manoj Bajpai, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Delzad Hiwale, Raj Kumar Yadav

Director: Bedabrata Pain

Synopsis: Set in the turbulence of the 1930s British India, Chittagong is a true story of a 14-year-old boy Jhunku, and of his journey to find where he belongs. For the first time in Indian history, the British army is defeated by an army of schoolboys and their teacher, Masterda. Called a traitor by his peers, Jhunku impulsively joins the movement, which forces him to confront his self-doubts.

Synopsis: Bryan Mills, a retired CIA agent with a particular set of skills, gets kidnapped along with his wife. They are held hostage during their family

vacation in Istanbul. Bryan enlists Kim to help them escape, and uses the some advanced level of special forces tactics to get his family to safety and systematically take out the kidnappers one by one.

Makkhi

Genre: Thriller

Cast: Nani, Samantha Prabhu, Sudeep

Director: SS Rajamouli

Synopsis: This is the dubbed version of hit Telugu film, Eega. The film is about Sudeep, who who will do anything to get what he wants. When he falls for Bindu, he wants her at any cost. However, a guy called Nani loves Bindu. Though Bindu loves him too, she doesn’t say so. The story takes a turn when Sudeep kills Nani to get Bindu. But Nani is born again as a fly, and vows revenge.

Prem Mayee

Genre: Romance

Cast: Sanjay Suri, Chandrachur Singh and Shreya Narayan

Director: Shekhar S Jha

Synopsis: The film chronicles people in love and the circumstances that push them, only to realise how love brings out the best and worst in us. The film also throws light on marriage and relationships at workplace.

In the Name of .. Tai

Genre: Social drama

Cast: Dr Nishiganda Wad, Asrani, Dr Vilas Ujawane, Mahesh Thakur

Director: Ujjwal V Thengdi

Synopsis: The film is based on the life of a dedicated village woman, respectfully called Tai. She works tirelessly towards protecting

farmers’ land against corrupt politicans and builders.
