If the film is called Barielly Ki Barfi, you expect a sugar rush at the least when its song lands. Sweety Tera Drama, the film’s first song which has Kriti Sanon shaking a leg with her two suitors Rajkummar Rao and Ayushmann Khurrana, will be playing at many, many weddings this year. It seems Kaala Chashma finally has competition.
As the song itself announces, the craziest family is inviting you to the tastiest entertainer ever and we can say that we are in for a treat. Composed by Tanishk Bagchi, written by Shabbir Ahmed and sung by Dev Negi, Pawni Pandey and Shraddha Pandit, the song has a distinct flavor of a desi wedding number, which has got the Bollywood treatment.
The film’s trailer was launched recently to good reviews. Ayushmann had said about the film in an interview to IANS, “The trailer of Bareilly Ki Barfi is very quirky. I feel this film has all quirks of typical Hrishikesh Mukherjee or Sai Paranjape’s school of cinema. It’s a very Woody Allen kind of film in a way. So I think it’s very quirky, very different.” Going by the song, we can but agree.
