Box office: ADHM earns Rs 13.30 cr, Shivaay gathers Rs 10.24 cr on Day 1

Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, is about love and friendship.

So, the battle we were waiting for has begun. Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Muhskil has opened at theatres across the country and kicked off its journey at the ticket window. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted about the film’s first day collections on Saturday. The film has garnered Rs 13.30 crore on its first Friday of release.

ADHM is fighting it out with Shivaay at the box office.

The film has a tough battle on its hands because Ajay Devgn’s Shivaay is also running simultaneously in cinema halls.

There are close to 4200 screens in India, and they are divided almost equally between the two films.

With a Rs 13.30 cr opening, ADHM might be leading right now, but Shivaay has the chance to catch up.

Thanks to single screens, Shivaay has gathered Rs 10.24 cr on the first day.
